    Project Name: STATE OF CALIFORNIA (SPACE FOR MEANINGFUL OUTDOOR RECREATION & EDUCATION) File Number: PLN240050 Project Location: 45500 HWY 1 HWY, BIG SUR, CA 93920 Assessor’s Parcel Number(s): 159-031-002-000 Project Planner: Joseph Alameda Area Plan: Big Sur Coast Land Use Plan, Coastal Zone Project Description: Coastal Development Permit and Design Approval to allow permanent outdoor education and family/group camping facilities including the construction of two (2) tent campsite areas that could each accommodate up to thirty (30) tents (50 campers plus ten staff), a small amphitheater, a rustic kitchen and pavilion, ADA-accessible nature paths and other improvements including restoration of approximately 4,851 square feet of previously disturbed habitat; and Coastal Development Permit to allow development within 100 feet of ESHA.
